The Process of Shipping your Vehicle

Auto Shipper | Auto Transport | Vehicle Shippers

So you’ve made the decision to move, and you’ve made the important decision of choosing a vehicle shipper to get your car from point A to point B? What’s the next step? The next step of course is getting your car on the truck and getting it to your new destination. But before you get ahead of yourself, there may be a few things you need to take care of before shipping.

There are many things that you may want to take care of before getting your vehicle to your new destination. Here at Coast to Coast Auto Transport, we make sure you know exactly what it is that you need to do before we can take you car off your hand.

Some things that need to happen before we ship your vehicle include:

  • Contact Us!- The first thing that needs to happen is for you to either pick up the phone and call us or fill out a contact form. This will start the process and get you connected with one of our skilled coordinators based on your desired destination.
  • Make Sure your Vehicle is Operable- We can only ship vehicles that are drivable on their own. That’s why your vehicle has to have brakes, and the ability to drive on its own. This is a very important stipulation as we won’t be able to transport non-running vehicles.
  • Take Out Any Personal Belongings- We are only licensed to ship vehicles. That’s why you will need to take out any personal belongings that may be in the vehicle before we are able to ship. We also prefer that you have ¼ tank of gas or less in order to get the weight correct.
  • Set up a Pick-up and Delivery Location- Because our trucks are 80 feet long and 14 feet high, we cannot make pick ups and deliveries in neighborhoods or crowded residential areas. We typically pick a mutual spot that both parties can get to easily to load and unload cars.

After that, we can do the rest! Take the worry and hassle out of your move by investing in a sound strategy to get your vehicle across the country!
