Myth Busters Coast to Coast Style: Part 3

Vehicle Shipper | Auto Shipper

Not very many people are familiar with the auto transport industry. There are so many myths floating around out there just like with an industry. It might be hard to figure out what is fact and what is fiction.

For those of you who aren’t sure about the auto transport industry here is a little myth busters Coast to Coast style where we talk about a few myths that are out there and let you know the truth.

Myth #1: Shipping to terminals increases the chance of delays.

The time of delivery for your vehicle has many factors that play into it. The driver has other delivery points and also traffic can effect the time of your delivery. But the mere shipping to a terminal will not effect what time your vehicle will arrive. It will also depend on the availability of the owner of the vehicle and when they can pick their car up.

Myth #2: It takes more time to ship than to drive the car myself.

Many people wonder why they would ship their car then drive it their self. The truth is that most of the time it is cheaper to ship the car then to drive it yourself. But the myth that it takes more time to ship the vehicle holds no truth at all. If you consider the amount of miles you have to drive, all of the stops you would have to make and the nights you would have to stay at hotels to get rest then your 20-hour drive can turn into a couple day road trip. You should also consider the miles you will be putting on your vehicle. Shipping a car saves you money, miles and stress.

So before you go believing these myths do research, get quotes and do the math. Most people will find that shipping their car is less stressful, less money, less miles and more beneficial in the long run then taking a cross-country road trip.
