- Mark your Boxes- This is kind of a no-brainer, but you would be surprised at how many people forget this simple step. Make sure to mark he boxes with either the content or which room or area of the new house the box is going to.
- Pack Heavy Items at the Bottom- The bottom of the box should be reserved for your heavy items, as you don’t want to stack heavy items on top of light items. By doing so, you avoid the smashed items at the bottom of the box and you also displace weight properly.
- Keep Like Items Organized Together- If you’re packing up the kitchen, then it doesn’t make much sense to pack living room items together with pots and pans. Make sure you’re packing like items to together to make unpacking a breeze when the time comes.
